6 Months

In less than 6 months I will be 35 years old.  The same age as my brother was when he died.  I fear that age for that reason, but I have decided to look at it differently.  In the next 6 months, I will change the way that I live by adding exercise on a regular basis.  I will continue to eat healthy and make better decision.  In addition I will be closer to my goal weight with the home of losing 25 more lbs.  I hit the 25 lb mark this past weekend, it took 7 months to get there, I figure I can do this in 6 months.

I have also decided that I will do a bucket list for things I would like to accomplish before I turn 40 ( a later post). So I think in the next 6 months I have a lot to do and I need to remain focused as much as possible. In addition, I will also be working on fixing up our house so that we can sell it and buy an actual house.

Change

Change often happens when we step outside of our usual box and do something unexpected.  I realize that if I keep doing the same things over and over again, nothing will be different.  Wow, only took me 34 years to realize this, haha.

Well I am in need of a change above all else.  I need to be willing to step outside of my comfort zone and do things that I usually would not do.  First on that list I want to get a bike, I don’t need an expensive one, but I want one.  I need to find an exercise that I actually like.  Don’t get me wrong I like walking and I would love to start running but I feel like doing the same thing over and over again isn’t really keeping me motivated.

I don’t belong to a gym and refuse to join one again, because I never keep going. I have a crazy work schedule which involves working 12 hour days 3x a week and then 6 hours on the fourth.  I do get 3 days in a row off, and I am not going to make an excuse for why I don’t do more on those days.

So my goals for June are to lose 5 lbs, buy a bike and a bike rack, ride at least 3x a week and walk at least 2x a week.  I will track all I eat and go easier on myself.

Welcome Home

So this is where I am choosing to continue my journey through blogging and my fat to fit!!

I started Weight Watchers in October 2011 and to this date I have lost 25lbs.  I have a goal of losing at least another 50lbs, but for now I look at my next albs.  I am a mom to almost 5 yo twin girls who keep me on my toes, but they are the real reason for this epic (yes I said that) journey.  My brother died over 3 years ago from what is believed to be CHF (congestive heart failure).  He was 35 yo at the time, the age I will be in November, and he left behind 3 children.

I fear that I will end up with the same fate and refuse to ever allow myself to get there.  I have begun the journey from Fit to Fat and hope to continue with the help of my wonderful supporters on Twitter and my family.
